| Days 1: Fly in Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha, Tanzania Arusha Coffee lodge B,L,D Day 2: After breakfast depart for city tour and shopping lunch at lunch at Pepe Restaurant. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 3: Arusha - Tarangire National Park After breakfast we leave for Tarangire National Park, known for its elephants and diverse population of mammals and birds and beautiful Baobab trees. Exclusive Tarangire Mobile Camp B,L,D Day 4: Tarangire National Park for game drives. Tarangire is home to large herds of eland, oryx, wildebeest and zebra. Bird watching is exceptional, and we may spot bateleur or martial eagle soaring overhead. Exclusive Tarangire mobile Camp B,L,D Day 5: Tarangire National Park - The Crater Highlands. After breakfast we depart for Lake Manyara National Park in the Great Rift Valley. On a game drive we look for lions and elephants, which let us get astonishingly close; in the lake we see hippos and many water birds, including flamingos. We then drive to the Plantation Lodge, set amid extensive gardens. Plantation lodge B,L,D Day 6: The Crater Highlands - Ngorongoro Crater A walk in the surrounding area, a swim in the pool or a game of tennis are all options available at Plantation Lodge this morning. After lunch we drive to Ngorongoro Crater; at up to 12 miles in diameter and 2,000 feet deep, it is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Here our staff welcomes us to our exclusive camp on the Crater's rim. Exclusive Ngorongoro Crater mobile Camp B,L,D Days 7- 8: Ngorongoro Crater We spend the next two days game viewing among the Crater's lions, elephants, hyena, wildebeest, zebra and endangered black rhino, seasonal lakes crowded with birds. We may also encounter a wandering Maasai herdsman with his cattle. Exclusive Ngorongoro Crater mobile Camp B,L,D Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti Park Today we drive to the Serengeti plains, stopping en route at Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey's renowned archaeological discoveries. As we reach the Serengeti, we enter a vast savannah that supports the largest concentration of plains game in the world. Exclusive Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge B,L,D Days 10 - 11: Serengeti National Park We spend the next two days in Serengeti National Park, 5,600 square miles in size and containing every kind of African animal imaginable, including giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and impala, and predators such as lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah. Enjoy sundowner cocktails at the end of one of our days of game viewing and, on our last evening here, a farewell dinner in the African bush.
