Safaris and Treks are designed by our expert tour consultants to best meet the desires of our client. We can provide a diverse range of safaris throughout Tanzania to accommodate most interest. Our safaris combine luxury lodges, permanent camps and mobile camps to ensure your satisfaction. You are not restricted to particular departures dates, unless you wish us to assist you in joining a prearranged group. Suggested itineraries are provided as guidelines; and you will have the expert advice from our tour consultants as you complete your plans. The result will be the safari or trekking experience, exactly as you wish it to be.
START TOUR ARRANGEMENTS
Destinations: There are so many spectacular destinations to visit in Tanzania; once you have scrolled through our website and have a better idea of what you would like us to arrange for you, simply send us a few lines with your preferences and timeframe. We can then propose an itinerary, which we will work on together until you have the trip as you want it.
Transport: To facilitate your arrival in Tanzania, we can assist with local flight arrangements. Once on safari, one or more 4X4 all-terrain with a pop-up open roof shall be provided, each accommodating up to 6 persons with window seat guaranteed.
Accommodation: Overnight accommodation may be located inside or outside the game parks, comprising: permanent luxury lodges; luxury tented camps (canvas, standing room canvas tents); classic camps/seasonal camps (basic canvas); or basic campsite (economical, light tents with basic essential camping gear). Accommodation can be provided on a single, double, or triple basis; self contained or shared single supplement fee applicable.Package pricing: We offer a variety of safaris and treks to suit all ages and interests. The range is from rustic wilderness camping to luxury lodges. Lodges and permanent camps can be found in classifications of from 1-star to 5-star. You are welcome to propose a mix of lodging. For example you may select a safari using our mobile camps, followed by a night in a 5-star lodge to prepare for your trip home. Tour pricing will vary according to the mix of services.
TANZANIA DESTINATIONS
NORTHERN CIRCUIT: Northern trails cover all parks on the northern Tanzanian circuit. Itineraries featured on our website are just a few of the many tours on offer, but remember we specialize in arranging tailor made holidays to suit individual needs and desires. Click on relevant link above for example.
Northern Parks include: Tarangire National Park; Serengeti National Park; Arusha National Park; Lake Manyara National Park; Ngorongoro Conservation Area; and Kilimanjaro National park.
SOUTHERN CIRCUIT: Our southern trails take you through the famous Selous Game Reserve and the Ruaha National Park. Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa National Park may be visited via Dar-es-Salaam; Both parks can be visited on their own or as extensions to other itineraries, with a recommended minimum of three days. Alternatively, both parks have airstrips with regular scheduled flights making them quite accessible by air. Note, road transfer between parks can take from three hours to one day depending on the road and weather conditions. If preferred, luxury accommodation is available in both parks, as are standard lodges and campsites. Also offered are charming detached bandas of stone construction with separate shower and toilet facilities.
WESTERN CIRCUIT: Trails to the western interior cover Katavi National Park, Mahale National Park and Gombe Stream National park. With the exception of Mahale, these destinations are literally off the beaten track. Accommodation is therefore quite basic and limited to camping. For the adventurous types who prefer roughing it, these parks offer unique and considerable variety in game and habitats.
Access can be arranged through a charter, scheduled flight, or the more intrepid can sail down Lake Tanganyika from Kigoma or by train from Dar es Salaam. Activities around the camp include bird watching, fishing, snorkeling and boating. For such a tour, we recommend a minimum stay of four days.
Katavi National Park features a very basic guesthouse within the park, though basic camping and some permanent lodges are also available, depending on the season.
Gombe National Park is accessible via Kigoma and accommodation is primarily arranged in a guest house belonging to the park, or at local campsites. Alternatively, day trips to Gombe can be arranged from Kigoma Hilltop Hotel.

EXCLUSIVE SAFARIS: For the discerning traveler, the Ecological Wilderness Adventures team can design safaris featuring any of lodges and permanent tented camps in Tanzania. Clients are flown to each destination by private charter plane, unless otherwise requested. With a range of options, we are able to select the right properties and destinations to suit your specific desires.
HONEYMOON - Special itineraries for the honeymooners could include exclusive Serengeti resorts, private luxury campsites, and/or park lodges. The Ecological Wilderness Adventures team can arrange for a private honeymoon safari and beach extension. Honeymooners can enjoy the best moments of their safari with intimate table settings and special gifts for the occasion. All special requirements may be subject to a supplementary charge.
BALLOONING – Consider experiencing the spectacular scenery and wild game of the famous Serengeti National Park from the heights of a hot air balloon! After the flight, lasting about 1 hour, savor a sumptuous champagne breakfast. Your well-deserved dining experience shall be enjoyed in the natural and wild surroundings you.
