Itinerary

Day by day

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Accommodation: Panorama View Campsite

After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, home to one of East Africa’s largest elephant populations. Enjoy a day of game viewing, where you'll encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year-round, making it an excellent spot for photography.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Accommodation: Simba Campsite

After breakfast, drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this incredible volcanic caldera, teeming with wildlife including lions, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes. Spend the day exploring the crater floor and enjoying the dramatic scenery before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 3: Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti

Accommodation: Seronera Campsite

Leave for the Central Serengeti after breakfast, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, visit the historic Olduvai Gorge, where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered. Arrive in the Seronera area for an afternoon game drive before heading to camp for dinner.

Day 4: Full Day in Central Serengeti

Accommodation: Seronera Campsite

Spend the entire day exploring the Central Serengeti, famous for its high concentration of large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The vast plains and rock formations, known as kopjes, provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

Days 5-7: Game Viewing in Northern Serengeti

Accommodation: Serengeti Savannah Mara River Camp

After breakfast, drive north to the Northern Serengeti, home to the Great Migration during this time of year. Spend the next three days tracking the migration and witnessing river crossings at the Mara River. Besides the migrating herds, this area is rich with resident wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and numerous bird species.

Day 8: Fly from Northern Serengeti to Arusha

After breakfast, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for a flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch. You may relax in Arusha or head to the airport for your flight home.
